McFly Family, Saturday, Week 1

Oh haiz, I'm back. Let's see if we can get at least another cycle of my Simlets completed before "Alice: Madness Returns" comes out and I'm once again distracted away from the game. After all, we do have a couple of birthdays coming up this round. Right now, though, there's the McFlys and their day:

Just a typical morning at the McFly homestead -- Lorraine making waffles, Linda and Marty in the bathrooms, George sleeping in, and Dave dancing to the phonograph.

WTF? Linda's allowed at the table now?
Marty: She stole Dave's seat like a baseball player stealing home!
Linda: I was determined to eat with you guys once!

Dave's busy building up Body skill for his new Adventurer job anyway, so I guess we can allow it for now. Linda talking tennis with George is oddly apt, given he and Lorraine appear to play in the movie. (They definitely do in the novelization -- club doubles champions for six years!)

Lorraine: Whee! Doing something potentially very dangerous with my son gives me aspiration points!
And this is how she treats her clear favorite of the three.

Dave: HARPS ARE THE MOST AWESOME THINGS EVER OMG
Marty: You gave yourself the "special" waffles, didn't you big bro?
Despite this, they're now friends. Now if only I could do the same for Dave and Linda, finally everyone in this family would properly like each other.

At least Marty and Linda have mastered the art of sharing the activity table. Always nice to see kidlets getting along (and staying out of everyone's hair).

Lorraine, seeing her kids are busy, goes digging in the backyard again. Her first find is a mere rock, but her second. . . .

Is another secret map! This one (hanging on the wall) is to the Mysterious Hut on Twikki Island. (Her previous find, on the desk, is to the Pagoda in the Shadows.) She's good -- too bad they have absolutely no money for a vacation.

Study party! Linda and Marty are grabbing some Cooking skill, Dave's working more on Body, and Lorraine's studying one of the new special skills, Anger Management. It's worth mentioning that Marty seems to learn skills pretty fast, even beyond the Fall boost -- I think he's got the stuck Smart Milk effect. I approve. :D

Before heading to work, Dave calls up a guy he knows named Juan to make friends. Juan is apparently an out-of-towner, as the other option for him was invite him over as a houseguest. Dude, I've seen you in my main neighborhood, so you can obviously afford your own hotel if you want to come over.

Linda breaks up the study party to say hi to her daddy, aww. :) And George is well-deserving of a hug, as he's just been promoted to Science Teacher! The McFlys may actually have some spare cash soon!

In the backyard, Marty decides to indulge in his predestined Nature habit for a change and goes and hunts some bugs. Doesn't catch any, though.

It -- appears the McFlys aren't big on water conservation. (Seriously, though, for some reason this sink won't shut off. The hell?)

A game of red hands finally leads to best-friendship between Lorraine and her daughter. That's everyone in the family, Lorraine -- time to find you some friends who aren't related to you.

Return of the study party! The two younger McFly children have amassed enough aspiration points for George to have a thinking cap, hooray.

Linda quits the study party for an early bedtime, but Dave joins it with a new mirror to get some Charisma -- he got promoted to Spelunker today, and he's looking to move up again.
. . .Look, it was the last day of Fall and I like my Sims to be skilled! Besides, at least two needed it for their jobs.

Marty finishes a painting worth 86 simoleons. Not bad for a kid who looks to be about six or seven, eh?

And Lorraine obtains her goal of learning Anger Management, thus sparing her shenanigans more appropriate to an Adam Sandler movie.
Okay, yeah, a not particularly interesting update this time. But considering you got two pretty large updates from EMMETT BROWN, TECHNO-WARLOCK before I went and played AMA, I think a shorter update is warranted. Don't worry, though, I'm sure the Van Dorts will be a little more interesting. Scraps has got to be housetrained, after all. . . .
