ink_sec_simsAt last, full circle again! And this entry should be at least slightly more interesting than their last, since Steve & Gary actually had people over today. Let's get right to it.
Gary shows off his Knowledge side by studying up on Cleaning. That a big skill for a gamer, dude?
Gary: Look, I don't want to piss in a smelly toilet. Besides, we're having a couple of friends over once Steve gets up.
Ah, yes, the party. Who's coming?
Gary: Cheshire Cat and Nell Van Dort, and Steve wanted to invite Lakshmi. Can I just read now?
Yeah, yeah. . .
Once Cleaning is learned a bit more and Steve drags himself out of bed, the guests are invited. Nell and Cheshire are the first to arrive.
Nell: Oh, I'm not looking forward to winter. All that snow will ruin my shoes! They're expensive, you know.
"So yeah, my bud there just made best friends with Cheshire. . . ."
Never at a loss for conversation, are you Steve?
Still, things are going well. Nell's watching a horror movie, Steve's chatting politics with Lakshmi, and Gary and Cheshire are playing red hands. So far, Not Bad (according to the official party rating).
Gary knows the best way to keep Nell happy is to compliment her on her hats. Steve appears to approve.
Lakshmi: I really want to flirt with someone!
Unfortunately for you, the hosts of the party agree that you are most definitely not their type.
Lakshmi: They can bite it.
Gary: Hey! A guy like me makes girls line up to kiss me!
Lakshmi: Yeah, I'm sure.
Steve: So how do you like living here, Mrs. Van Dort?
Nell: I wish there were more nobles to mingle with. I'm not destined to constantly associate with the lower classes.
Gary: You just wait and see, Lakshmi. I'm gonna find the girl of my dreams in this city! And she's gonna have a way nicer ass.
Lakshmi: Hey! How can you even see my ass at that angle?
Steve: Why'd you move here in the first place then?
Nell: Oh, William thought the fish business would do better here. He'd better make a lot of money at it, that's all I'll say.
Gary finally drags Cheshire away from his compulsive painting while Steve chats up Lakshmi a bit more. Party is officially a Good Time.
Uh, Gary, that's Lakshmi. Nell's in the other direction. Do I need to get you new glasses?
Nell Van Dort -- last Sim I would have ever expected to know air guitar/be a fan of rock and roll. You learn all sorts of new things at these parties.
Nell being goofy raises the party to Roof Raiser status! Congratulations on having a great party, Gary!
Gary: Thanks, though I don't think I'll let Steve invite part of the guest list next time.

With their guests gone, the boys do what they do best.
They do take a little time to work on their wrecker of a car, though. After all, if they ever want to drive. . . .
Steve leaves for work, and Gary takes advantage of his Aspiration Reward Points to get a Thinking Cap! Time to practice Logic and gain Games enthusiasm.
Steve, meanwhile, gets a chance card about the burger machine at his work breaking down during a post-movie rush. Steve, not having much mechanical, chooses to try making his own dish instead. This nets him a lovely promotion to host and the chance to come home early.
Steve: And get a nice look at this girl's ass.

Still doing the maid thing, Gary?
Gary: Is it really so wrong to want to live in a clean house?
Steve: So long as I can still lick the plates clean, dude.
Steve continues his day of success by making proper best friends with Gary. About time.
And we end with him using the Thinking Cap to get some Logic for that next promotion. He and Gary actually work the same hours now, though that probably won't last past tomorrow's shifts.
