Getting to the end of our first cycle, we come to my own full-on family that doesn't have a toddler. (Don't think I'm not relieved.) This is also the family that's the most original of the ones on Inkwell Secundus. Let's meet the Leeches!

This Terrence, Kimberly, and Lucy. Lucy's my RP character, though I haven't used her outside the [livejournal.com profile] inkwell_bar yet. Lucy's an OC who was inspired by this music video. The bouncy picture of Emilie Autumn somehow got my attention, and that led to bouncy, inspiration-filled Lucy. They're pretty light on custom content -- it's really just their clothes here. Okay, the vital stats:

Their apartment! Well, before I added a bookcase, some fun stuff, and a bed for Lucy. I was hoping to add a square or two of plantable dirt so that Kimberly could grow stuff (she's a bit of a hippie to me), but no dice.

Kimberly signs the lease. I didn't get this action with the Garfunkles, so it was nice to see it.

Kim plays with her daughter while Terrence studies cooking. It fortunately didn't take long to get Lucy on good terms with both her parents.

Like her inspiration, Lucy plays the violin. As a kid, she definitely needs more practice, but at least it's a great way to earn fun.

Kimberly wanted to meet someone new, so I had her chat up Clarence here while the rest of the family had lunch. It was a good conversation, and earned her a Networking bonus -- her Reputation's gone up a tad.

Skillin' times. I like to have my Sims learn -- hence why so many of them end up as Knowledge.

Terrence studying cleaning lit up the Nature hobby bubbles for his wife and daughter, so I sent them outside to indulge in a little birdwatching and bug-hunting. Seriously, though, why does practically every Sim here love Nature except for the one for whom it would be most appropriate? (Victor, in case you didn't guess.)

One of the Leech's neighbors -- this older tough guy is named, of all things, Christian Love. XD This neighborhood has ALL the best names.

After getting Terrence a Military job via the Humble computer, I start questing around for his OTH. It's not Film & Lit, though it was interesting to see the Pool Table movie under Drama.

Lucy watches as Kim sees if she can catch some fireflies.

She can. I had her let them go soon afterward, though -- I don't like them dying in the jars.

Tuesday opens with my favorite snuggle interaction. I think this is seriously one of the cutest things ever.

Terrence gives his daughter a tickle. I need them to become close so he can encourage her to be more Active -- I hated that I had to make her Lazy to make her so Outgoing and Playful.

Oh, come on guys, your daughter's right there and probably doesn't appreciate the PDA. No, it doesn't matter that I directed you to do it.

What's better than an early-morning swing-around?

How about successfully catching some butterflies? Though, really, that jar always looked incredibly cramped in the case of butterflies.

Yes, Kim, it's raining. Hope it doesn't ruin your painting. Actually, this turned into quite the lightning storm for a while -- I tried to get a pic, but the strikes were always over too fast.

With her husband at work and her child at school, Kim decides to meet some of the neighbors. Next door to them is Neil Chalmers, who didn't quite get along with Kim.

She has more luck with Michelle Tse upstairs. No Networking bonus, though. At least it's a new entry in the possible friends list.

Terrence comes home without a promotion but with a cooking skill point thanks to a chance card. I have him jump rope to get a start on his body skills -- and surprise surprise, his OTH is Fitness. Should have guessed.

Lucy brings home Gallagher Newson from school -- I'm pretty sure he's a refugee from the Sim Bin. They talk and play some Mary Mack before he returns to the void. Maybe I should go into Desiderata Valley proper and move in all the families that came with the EPs so they'll have phones. Because if Gallagher can escape, the rest of them can too.

A lovely autumnal scene -- father and daughter playing some catch. Not pictured: both of them dropping the ball every fifteen seconds.

Homework is important too, though. Terrence gladly teaches Lucy how to study. Poor Lucy looks as if it was physically painful for her. (It did give her fun meter quite the hit.)

And we end on Kim successfully catching a Mock Ladybug Beetle! Now where can I put her bug box. . . .

Between the Garfunkles and these guys, I'm learning that apartments are okay, but a bit cramped, especially with families. Our next family takes us back to a house, though, so that'll be good. See you then!
