Liddell Family, Monday + Tuesday, Week 1

Well, how about we meet the family right next door to the Van Dorts. Say hello to the Liddells!

Another family that consists of two merged ones -- I decided I wanted Cheshire to have his own last name instead of "Liddell." This group is about medium on custom content -- all the clothes are custom, Alice and her mother have custom skin, and Cheshire? Well, Cheshire's a complete Sim I found on Mod The Sims. The tail was a later addition I found on there -- it's so much darker because it was intended for a Nightcrawler Sim. Actually, to be honest, Alice is a premade too -- well she's two premades I put together (one's skin, the other one's basic face). Why do I have two premade Alices? I needed adult and teen versions of her iconic dress. :p But anyway, the vital stats:

The Liddell house. As mentioned before, it's right next door to the Van Dorts. It's a nice Victorian, but it's a bit on the cramped side. Once they get a little more money, I'm thinking of opening it up. Alice, lucky girl, got the slightly bigger bedroom.

While Victor is the cutest toddler ever, Alice is the angriest toddler ever. Look at those eyebrows!

Henry plays the part of good daddy and starts Alice on walking lessons. Never too early to start, especially when you're not sure of the Smart Milk situation.

Somehow, I'm unsurprised when the OTH hobby pop-up appears, announcing Cheshire's is Games. Too bad there's no "tell riddle" interaction between Sims.

Skilling of all sorts going on. About this time I realize how much easier the Liddells are going to be -- smaller family with aspirations I know and love. Family and Knowledge Sims are so much easier to handle!

Well, Henry, that's definitely the safest place to teach your daughter how to walk. [/sarcasm]

The welcome wagon arrives -- and it's Lorraine and the two Turret boys, Steve & Gary! I'm quite happy to see them, honestly.

Henry chats up Steve. "We're on the run -- no, not from the police. From our psychotic robot boss."

Cheshire gives Alice a bottle. He actually has a normal Sim mouth under that grin, but you'd never know it.

The Turrets make themselves at home. Lorraine's upstairs, annoying me by bogarting Cheshire's easel.

Musical Alice is musical.

Lorina makes a potholder. I haven't really gotten a chance to test the sewing machine, so I gave her one. It'll give her something to do (and sell) -- besides, what respectable Victorian woman neglects her sewing?

*snork* Careful, Lorina, those romance novels might rot your brain.

Lorina, that's not nice. Especially since Music & Dance is your husband's One True Hobby.

Cheshire spontaneously goes outside to tell a joke to this girl. I am baffled as to when Sims gained the ability to talk to other Sims autonomously without being told to GREET them. Then again, this IS Cheshire. . . .

Awww! Cheshire and Alice play peek-a-boo! So cute~

Alice versus the peg board. She's expressed an interest in increasing her Logic, for some reason. Armor against the weirder residents of Wonderland?

Tuesday brings not only Fall's skill-boosting, but also Smart Milk! Good old Cheshire accumulated enough points. Lorina promptly sets to work.

Great Success! Alice is promptly taught to walk and pottytrained. Oh, Smart Milk, how I love thee. And how sorry I feel for poor deprived Victor.

Lorina decides to join in on her husband's dancing craziness. This must be where Alice gets it. (The craziness, not the Music & Dance enthusiasm. Though I've figured out everyone else's OTH, hers still eludes me. For the record, Lorina's is Tinkering.)

Lorina decides to read up about Cuisine in the paper. Methinks she prefers that hobby to her actual OTH.

I decide to have Cheshire teach Alice the nursery rhyme. It seems thematically appropriate.

Henry calls up Nell Van Dort and makes friends. My idea of the families feuding pretty much dies, but at least it'll be easier on the kids when they grow up.

Lorina's learned how to make chip platters, so Henry and Cheshire have a snack. "You'll always protect our precious Alice, won't you Cheshire? Always be one of her best friends?"

Lorina indulges her Tinkering urges. You may wonder why they always do this with showers in my game? Simple -- showers won't electrocute them if they break. (And they do -- this one broke shortly after Lorina played with it.)

"Bathing the toddler pic" seems to be the traditional way to end these entries now. Don't ask me what happened to her hair -- it seems to be related to the Seasons "change hairstyle with clothes" thing. This is probably her "swimming" hair, which I don't remember being able to pick.
And that's the Liddells! Hopefully, the next time I play them, Alice will tell me what her OTH is.
