No cutesy theme this week, though a few families will be getting "new additions," so to speak. At the moment, let's check in with the McFlys.

We'll start with a shot of most of our family having breakfast.
Marty: I guess I'm excited to go to school. I'm more excited about the fact I only have to go one day before the weekend.

Marty: Dad, did you ever meet an alien?
George: Sure did! Darth Vader from planet Vulcan! If it wasn't for him, you three might not be -- hang on, where's Linda?
Lorraine: Linda is the unfavorite, remember? We don't allow her to eat with the others.
Actually, Linda was the least hungry, so I spent her time having her up her fun. Though I guess I should get the McFlys a bigger table.

The kids disappear off to school. Lorraine heads outside to do some birdwatching while George fixes the toilet. (What, Tinkering IS his One True Hobby. . . .)

Out of boredom, I have Lorraine dig for treasure. Her first venture yields nothing more than Skippy the Stone and $25 for selling him.

A second poke into the hole, however, reveals. . .

ImageFra.me
This, the Tray O'Orbs! Unimpressive, you say?
The damn thing's worth $850.
The McFlys are suddenly solvent! Go Lorraine!

Steve calls George, and they have a nice chat that results in best-friendship. Maybe it's a similar-hairstyles thing.

Lorraine, meanwhile, heads to the Micro Mall to put some of their newfound cash to use. She buys more period-appropriate clothes for Marty. . . .

ImageFra.me
And a few groceries to keep them topped off for the time being.

ImageFra.me
One of her wants was to meet someone new. Alrighty then, say hello to Michelle Kosmokos.

ImageFra.me
They get along okay. At least Lorraine has someone new to call on the phone.

Back at home, Dave is doing his part to help with the money situation -- he's gotten a job! The first level of the teen Adventurer track, Ambassador's Assistant. Only 90 simoleons at present, but hey, every little bit helps.

ImageFra.me
Linda blows bubbles while Marty goes to raid the new dresser for his new duds. *squints* Is Linda's face cute or creepy? Bit hard to tell.

ImageFra.me
Linda and Marty obviously want to start things off on a better tack than Linda and Dave did. Also note Marty's new outfit -- best I could do without him looking too dorky.

ImageFra.me
Pillow fight! Also a money tree, as I realized it was kinda stupid for the McFlys NOT to have one.

ImageFra.me
Dave comes home and grooves to the phonograph. Maybe I should aim for the Dance scholarship with him? Be something different. . . .

ImageFra.me
As usual, homework must ruin everything. George assists Marty with his, at least. "Now son, remember that written Simlish can be whatever nonsense you want to make up. . . ."

ImageFra.me
Marty is an apt pupil. I think that's the last bit of homework help I need any set of parents to give.

ImageFra.me
While they were busy with that, however, Lorraine did some more digging -- and got the Pagoda in the Shadows map! I'm keeping this one, even if selling it would net $400. If they can ever afford a vacation, it'll be valuable.

We end with two of the McFly men doing creative stuff. Paintings sell money, and I intend for George to write novels in his spare time, so. . . . (The amusing part is, thanks to his toddlerhood, Marty's already WAY more advanced than George.)

And that's it for them. Next time, the Van Dorts. And fish. Lots of fish. See you then!
