Leech Family, Sunday, Week 1

I LIED AGAIN. I keep misremembering when exactly it is kids can grow up! So no birthday for Lucy today, which is annoying. >.< I wouldn't be so p'oed except that I want her to have some friends over when she transitions, and it's hard to do that when your "birthday" falls on a school day. But anyway, let's see what her family's up to.

Lucy's watching a cooking show, Terrence just finished breakfast, and Kim is painting. In the snow. Okay then.

Yes, this is extremely educational.

Kim takes a break from snow-painting to learn cooking with her daughter. And talk about dangerously curvy roads, apparently.

Speaking of dangerous things. . . .
Kim: Yeah, that old lady's gonna be a ghost shortly.
Are there no shows on the Yummy Channel that don't end in disaster? Well, I guess there's that one guy just having an extra-long snooze after he grills stuff. . .

WE INTERRUPT THIS UPDATE FOR ADORABLENESS.
(What? I didn't make him walk by. And seriously, look at his little scarf and sweater eee)

Terrence comes home with a promotion to Junior Officer and a memory of having made -- I don't know how much. But he's made it!

This deserves a daughter hug.

A few rounds of encouragement get Lucy up to 4 Lazy. Little better than before.

Kim: WHOA WAIT WHAT IS THIS WHITE STUFF THAT IS FALLING ON ME?
It's SNOW, you dumbass. It's been falling all while you've been painting. On that note, get inside before you freeze.

Terrence: Allow me to make a speech about making a speech.
I guess recursive speeches help in gaining Charisma?

Kim: It's totally weird! It's this white stuff that falls from the sky, and I didn't even notice until I'd finished my painting!
William: *on the other end* . . .Kim, have you been visiting the apartment bar again?
(Actually, she hasn't had a drop of juice all day.)

I don't know what -- Oh! Oh, no I do! It's Lucy making a snow angel because I wanted to do SOMETHING with her! And for some reason I decided to take a picture of the snow puff. Aheheh.

Those must be some thick stockings. (Then again, this particular outfit might just double as outerwear -- I've got one dress that categorized in both formal and pajamas.) Anyway, pretty snow angel.

Kim decides to join her daughter in making a snowman. Or possibly is trying to steal the world's largest snowball from her.

Nope, snowman.

Lucy: He's a little boring, isn't he?
Sorry, hon -- I tend toward good Sims, so most of my snowmen will be the standard kind. (You know, they should have made it so that a 10 Nice Sim makes a snowman with a halo. Just sayin'.)

Terry's idea of winter fun is virtual snowboarding.

In lieu of the birthday cake I thought she'd get, Lucy instead scarfs down on cookies.

And the instant she goes to bed, her parents -- well --
Terry and Kim: We don't have to deal with a teenager yet. LET'S CELEBRATE!
You won't get off so lucky next update! I swear it!
Ugh, yes, she's DEFINITELY growing up next update. She's only got one day left of being a kid, so it HAS to happen. I'm hoping for a snow day so I can invite her friends over properly. As for now, I'm signing out.
