Leech Family, Tuesday, Week 2
Time for a drop in on Lucy and family! It's not super-exciting, but they did meet some people, so. . .

Leftover birthday cake for breakfast. Admit it -- you're jealous of her right now.

Chess becomes even more of a challenge when there's a light layer of snow covering the squares.

Kim: Neil? I just asked you to come out, Neil. Why the hell are you going across the street?
Because he's a Townie and Townies do stupid shit like this? Though this is a new one on me, admittedly.

Neil: Cards are awesome!
Kim: Is thinking that enough to make you my best friend?

Neil: Sure thing!
Kim: At last! One step closer to that locked want! I am done with you now, you may go.

Because it wouldn't be an update from me if I didn't have a bunch of pictures of people studying. It's Mechanical, by the by -- having my Sims be able to fix things saves me the trouble of bothering other Sims to do it.

Outside, the landlord starts bothering some innocent passerby with talk about treadmills. Since you crave socialization so much, Kim, why don't you bother her? Might get you a break on your rent.

Kim: HEY I WAS TOLD IF I TALK TO YOU YOU MIGHT GIVE US A BREAK ON OUR RENT.
Subtle.

Kana: I'm not like other landlords. I am interested in the EARTH.

Kana: Specifically, how much of it might want to woohoo with me.
Kim: *thinking* Just laugh it off, possibly reduced rent will be worth it. Right? RIGHT?

Lucy comes home from school with a friend in tow -- Elizabeth Ng. Yes, that's her actual last name.
Elizabeth: No, I don't think it's any of your business why my last name has no vowels. Or why I'm perfectly content out here in capris when you need a heavy coat and hat.

Lucy: Hey, my dad just came home with a promotion to Flight Officer! That means he can drop bombs on people!

Elizabeth: Bombs are great, but I've always preferred machine guns for killing purposes.
Hold up, you two, this isn't that kind of neighborhood. You'll have to settle for less violent forms of war.

Elizabeth: Well, Rock Paper Scissors can wreck relationships if you do it right, so I guess it'll do.

Lucy: And Red Hands is kind of violent.
Passing Townie Boy: Hi outerwear almost-twin!
Lucy: Kinda busy!

Studying! And homework! ADVENTURE HO!

Terrence gives Lucy a little more encouragement to be Active, bringing her up to a solid five on the Lazy/Active meter. Molding personalities is fun!

I know Inkwell Secundus is based on an island template, but I really doubt you're going to see tropical birds in the middle of winter.

Out of curiosity, I decide to have Kim try some treasure hunting. What amazing find does she unearth? A bone? A rock?

Actually, she pulls out a Frog of Good Fortune statuette worth 420 simoleons. It always weirds me out when my Sims actually get something useful from their treasure hunts.

And we end with another picture to which you could make the joke "I'm making a speech about how much I hate public speaking." I gotta find new material.
Never fear, folks, we're almost to the end of a cycle and thus almost back to the most interesting Sims. But the Turrets and Wheatley are up next, and hopefully at least the latter can provide some amusement.
