Brown Family, Post-Grad
Well, it's about time he got out of college, isn't? Of course, I'm the sort of person who sticks around for the entire post-graduation period, so you have to put up with Academie Le Tour for another day. Shall we?

Emmett: I'm glad I graduated with high honors, but sometime I wonder if I got the wrong degree.
You work with what you have -- you're building up a pretty strong enthusiasm for Tinkering too. Also, this is Emmett's first masterpiece -- only I didn't know that, so I didn't get a picture of the memory. >.< This is a theme with this update, incidentally.

Now that he's all graduated from college, Emmett goes for a farewell visit to Voluavent.
Hyun: So, who are you going to enchant on the outside?
Emmett: Depends on who pisses me off. Speaking of which, you guys owe me for all the cracks about my warlock state. . . .

Yes, reason #1 for coming here -- raiding the Secret Society's budget to replace Emmett's stolen goods, and equip him with a few new fun toys for his house in Inkwell Secundus. *evil cackling*

But first, pottery making that results in a Bronze badge!

Emmett promptly tries out one of his new items -- very nice vase there.
Emmett: Thanks! I heard you wanted one of your Sims to open an art gallery -- maybe I should do that?
That's for a different neighborhood -- I'd intended for you to open a robot store. On the other hand, maybe you could combine the two? Fine art on one side, fine technology on the other?
Emmett: Sounds interesting.

What the -- Irfan? I didn't know you were a Secret Society member!
(For those of you confused, the blue-haired guy is one of Emmett's old dormies from way way back. And yes, he really is named Irfan.)

Ahhh, that's much better. Just how your house should look.

And now that you've regained your chairs and toys, it's time to get back to the grind of skilling (both magic and normal).

Also making robots, since I'm determined for you to get that Silver badge before you go.

My game has decided it should rain constantly. Emmett disagrees with this forecast. (Have I mentioned lately how much I LOVE Beatificus Locus?)

It's not enough that he's just dealt with a burglary, now his shower has to break too. >.<

What say we leave this house of annoyance for a while?
Emmett: Fine by me! Hey, Carmen, want to go on another date?

Their choice of location is Bernard's Botanical Dining. It's very -- green. (I wonder -- since the blurb about the restaurant says it's all about saving the plants, would it be the opposite of a vegetarian restaurant?)

Emmett: CANS OF SODA MAKE THE BEST DIRTY JOKES
Carmen: Emmett, you're a little weird. But I love you anyway.

Emmett: So the idea is to open a shop that'll sell both robots and art! Combine my two favorite hobbies!
Carmen: *gains influence points from dining out with Emmett that makes it hard for me to tell what she wants to order*

And it is officially love! How touching.

Emmett: Now that I'm graduated, will this have any effect on our relationship?
Carmen: So long as you call regularly, I shouldn't think so.

After dinner, our lovebirds decide to let their hormones carry them away. Hooray for first makeouts!

And then a game of darts with -- oh, hey there Mayhew!

I have Emmett talk to Mayhew, so he'll have a foot in the door with befriending the Van Dorts and Victor. Now if only I were that lucky with the McFlys. . . .

Random Townie: Oh my God it is such an honor to meet you!
Emmett: Uh, great. . .do I have male stalkers now?
No -- you just happened to gain a good reputation when neither of us were looking.

Making sure that Benemoodus Simae went off just right.

Our happy couple visit the photo booth for some pictures. I debated having them woohoo in there, but then figured that wouldn't really be Doc's speed.

Aren't they adorable? I nearly had him propose, but I figured they ought to be in love for a day or two before taking such a step. The date ended as a dream date nonetheless.

It totally makes sense to spend your time waiting for the taxi jumping rope.

That evening, Carmen leaves the bouquet of flowers. . .

As well as a nice vase. Which looks suspiciously like the one Emmett made on his pottery wheel earlier. I'm no longer so certain that's genuine SimChinese china.

The next day, Emmett asks Rosemarie the High Good Witch to pay a visit.
Rosemarie: Oh, I know this great new joke about a cloudy day--
Emmett: Save it, this is strictly a business visit. I've decided to use some of my funds from college to stock up on reagents so I don't have to spend all day at the cauldron.

The purchasing of reagents was thus done. Now he's got mystic dust, dragon scales, crystallized moonbeams, and essence of light to last him a while.

Emmett: Oh, by the way -- I AM A CHICKEN.
Rosemarie: Um, yeah, I -- I'm urgently needed back at the castle. . .
Pretending to be insane so she'll leave you alone romantically?
Emmett: Worked, didn't it?

Mayhew calls up, and he and Emmett have a nice conversation about the theater. I approve. One step closer to future friendships!

As usual, the symbol doesn't pop up, but Emmett's gotten himself that Silver badge! Yay!
Emmett: Now all I need is a Gold!
Indeed, but Silver will serve for selling bots.

Annoying Prof. Alon Who Keeps Ringing the Doorbell Every Damn Day: What the--
I LIKE Expello Simae.
Emmett: Me too.

Despite buying a bunch of reagents earlier, Emmett still finds some time to make more. You can never have too much mystic dust, after all.

He also gives the pottery wheel one last spin before tucking it away into the inventory. Pretty epic tea set there.

One last Beautificus Locus to ensure decent weather on his day of departure. . . .

And then it's time to officially become an adult! (Not that you can really tell in the wizard robes. . . .) Ready to blow this Popsicle stand, Emmett?
Emmett: I'm ready!

And so Emmett says goodbye to Academie Le Tour and his student housing. Which he's left in pretty good shape for the next resident -- even upgraded the counters. Nice. Hopefully whoever lives there next will treat it well!
And that's the end of Emmett's college career! Next week -- well, actually, I was thinking more Emmett. I want him to get roughly in sync with everybody else. So look forward to seeing him in his new digs in Inkwell Secundus!
