McFly Family, Sunday, Week 1
Hello there! I meant to update yesterday, but I was busy with RP. But like hell was I going to let this particular chunk of November go by without SOME sort of update from the McFlys. Not too much happens, but we've got a fair amount of pictures, so let's go see what they're up to.

I do believe Marty has the honor of being my first child Sim to successfully bake a muffin! Then again, he likes earning Cooking skill. No, I have no idea why.

I once again make Dave and Linda interact, in hopes of making them friends. Come on, guys, work with me here.
Dave: What, you mean like this?

. . .AWWWWW. They chose to do this on their own! I guess they really do want to be pals!

And finally, I think everyone in this family likes everyone else. About time.

Lorraine's treasure-hunting pays off again -- this statue fetched 300 simoleons. They need every one.

Marty's latest drawing shows he knows Thanksgiving is on the way. Though I don't think he'll get a chance to celebrate, sadly. (I don't have the Holiday pack in any shape or form.)

Marty: I want to have two best friends forever!
Dave: Yeah, but Doc hasn't finished college yet and you don't know Victor, I don't think.
Marty: Why do you assume they'll be my BFFs?
Dave: 'Cause the person writing this likes seeing you all as best pals.
^^; Blame my crossover tendencies.

Marty: Well, will you be one of my best friends?
Dave: Sure thing, little bro!
Awwww. :)

Skilling! Skilling everywhere!

Wow, Linda actually gets to eat alone with her parents!
Lorraine: The parenting book I read suggested we try to make it less obvious she's the unfavorite.
Linda: Sitting right here, Mom.

Lorraine goes birdwatching to pass the time. "Oooh, a cardinal! Didn't they win something in baseball this year?" (No, seriously, didn't they?)

Uh -- lovely drawing skills, Dave.
Dave: Hey, I didn't have the advantage of stocking up on skills as a toddler, unlike certain siblings I know.
Don't be jealous -- Marty just happens to be a main character.
Dave makes best friends with his friend Juan before heading off to another day in the salt mines (perhaps literally -- he IS in the Adventurer career). Have no idea how he even met Juan, considering the guy appears to be a local from a vacation hood -- exchange student?

Linda calls up Simon. Make up your own joke based on the picture.

I abruptly notice one of the showers is broke and sent Lorraine to take care of it. She doesn't do well.
Lorraine: This is a job for someone with Mechanical skill! George!!

He fails too at first (he's only got one Mechanical point), but he eventually tames the wild shower.

Lorraine, meanwhile, digs up another map from the yard! However, it's another one to the Pagoda in the Shadows, which we already have. I'm keeping it in her inventory to gift to someone else.

Lorraine: These places seem so strange, they might as well be on other planets.
I know, but they're really just subneighborhoods.

Snow! The younger McFly children are quite pleased, though you can't really see that. No accumulation, though, which means they do indeed have school tomorrow.

Dave comes home with a promotion to Multiregional Sim of Some Question, maxing out the teenage Adventurer career track! Way to go Dave!

Dave: What is this strange cold, fluffy white stuff falling on me in my hour of triumph?

Dave: Snow? I DISAPPROVE.
Not fond of winter, buddy?
Dave: Are you?
Touche.

Snow won't prevent him from playing red hands with George before bed, though. I guess today could be summed up as "Dave connects with the family."
And that's the McFlys! Yeah, I know, no hobby lot visit, but nobody had a card. Maybe the Van Dorts will be more accommodating (and if not, there's always Van Dort Fish).
